Travis Cobb assumes federal student aid position at ACOM
The Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) is pleased to announce that Travis Cobb, MBA, director of Financial Aid, has also been named the school’s Title IV FSA coordinating official. This is a required designated position for every academic institution administering federal student aid.
Travis will continue to oversee the college’s financial aid programs while serving as the liaison to the U.S. Department of Education and advisor to ACOM senior leadership on financial aid operations. Additionally, he will ensure compliance with all laws and regulations that impact ACOM’s participation in funding programs.
Travis, who has been with ACOM since 2012, has extensive experience in higher education financial aid. Prior to joining ACOM, he served as a financial aid administrator for the Department of Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs at Troy University’s Dothan Campus. In addition to his roles at ACOM, Cobb is a member of the Alabama Army National Guard, where he serves as medical platoon sergeant for HHC, 1-173 IN.
Cobb received a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in finance and his MBA with a concentration in management from Troy University.
