Ryan R. Shingler, DO

Ryan Shingler, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician with the Southeast Health Medical Group. He is a member of the medical staff at Southeast Health Medical Center and has an office at the Southeast Health Westgate Clinic.

Dr. Shingler completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia in 2009 and went on to earn his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014. He completed a Family Medicine residency at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. While at Floyd Medical Center Dr. Shingler was awarded Intern of the Year and he also obtained emergency department privileges to further advance his acute care and procedural skills.

Upon residency completion in 2017, Dr. Shingler returned to serve his hometown of Donalsonville, Georgia. In 2022 he relocated his practice to Dothan and joined the Southeast Health Medical Group in 2025. He is board certified by the American Osteopathic Family Medicine and he is a member of the American Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Shingler is experienced in diagnosing and treating acute health problems and chronic medical conditions. As a family medicine physician, he helps patients manage a wide range of chronic medical conditions to include diabetes, hypertension, hypothyroidism, obesity, anxiety, depression, attention deficit disorder (ADD), and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as well as other health issues that many people deal with daily. In addition to his diagnostic expertise, Dr. Shingler is proficient in performing various medical procedures such as joint injections, trigger point injections, and OMT (Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment) to help address musculoskeletal issues.

Dr. Shingler also serves on the faculty at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) as an assistant professor of Osteopathic Principals and Practice, as well as medical director for SouthernCare Hospice.
