Dr. Martinez is an experienced vascular surgeon with the Southeast Health Cardiovascular Institute. He has been a dedicated member of the medical staff of Southeast Health Medical Center since 2017. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Thomas University in Miami and earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Dr. Martinez completed his residency in general surgery at Polyclinic Medical Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He then pursued a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at The Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix during the early pioneering days of endovascular surgery. He has maintained an active interest in advanced endovascular techniques throughout his career.
As a vascular surgeon, Dr. Martinez specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions affecting the vascular system, including arteries, veins, and lymphatic vessels. He performs a variety of procedures, ranging from non-invasive treatments to complex surgeries, to managing conditions such as aneurysms, atherosclerosis, carotid artery disease, deep vein thrombosis, peripheral artery disease, and varicose veins.
