Dr. Muench is an experienced interventional cardiologist with the Southeast Health Cardiovascular Institute. He has been a dedicated member of the medical staff at Southeast Health Medical Center since 2005. He plays an integral role in the Structural Heart Program at the hospital.
Double-board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, Dr. Muench completed his medical education at the Medical Academy of Magdeburg in Germany. He furthered his training with an internship and residency at Kansas University Medical Center School of Medicine, followed by a general and interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Muench specializes in diagnosing and treating heart and blood vessel conditions using minimally invasive, catheter-based procedures and specialized imaging techniques. He is specially trained in transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and collaborates closely with cardiac surgeons at Southeast Health to perform these procedures as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing advanced care for patients with complex heart conditions.
