Dr. Basarakodu is board certified in medical oncology and hematology and has been practicing for more than 10 years. He joined the Southeast Health Hematology & Oncology team in 2017.Dr. Basarakodu received his medical degree from Osmania Medical School in India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and a fellowship in hematology-medical oncology at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.

He and his wife, Sri Laxmi Valasareddi, MD, have two daughters. When he is not practicing medicine, he enjoys traveling, running and swimming.
