Dr. Clemmons, internal medicine, joins SAMG hospitalist group
Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) is pleased to welcome Martin Clemmons, DO, FACOI, internal medicine, to its Southeast Alabama Medical Group (SAMG) hospitalist team. SAMG is the largest multispecialty group in the region.
Dr. Clemmons currently serves on the faculty of the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) as an assistant professor and department chair of internal medicine. Prior to joining the SAMC hospitalist group, Dr. Clemmons was a hospitalist at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Georgia.
Dr. Clemmons received his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. He earned his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University’s Debusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Nova Southeastern University’s Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida.
Dr. Clemmons was born at SAMC and grew up in Marianna, Florida. His wife, Dr. Lauren Clemmons, is a family medicine physician. They have a 6 month old son, Luke.
