Dr. Mayes, interventional cardiologist, now accepting patients.
Southeast Health is pleased to announce Charles Eugene Mayes Jr., MD, interventional cardiologist, will begin seeing patients on Monday, July 15 in the Southeast Health Cardiovascular Institute at 102 Doctors Drive.
Dr. Mayes comes to Southeast Health Medical Center after almost 10 years at Ascension Sacred Heart Medical Group in Miramar Beach, Florida and the Florida Panhandle.
Dr. Mayes received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with honors from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Vanderbilt University Medical School in Nashville, Tennessee. He did his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas at Southwest Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He completed a fellowship in general and interventional cardiology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Mayes was a member of the Vanderbilt University men’s varsity basketball team from 1987 to 1991. He was team captain his senior year.
