Hobbs named director of Radiology
Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) is pleased to announce William (Bill) Hobbs as director of Radiology.
Bill has 15 years of experience in diagnostic imaging. He comes to Dothan from South Carolina where he served as director of Diagnostic Imaging at McLeod Loris and McLeod Seacoast hospitals in Loris and Little River. Prior to that, he served as diagnostic imaging manager at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Bill earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Imaging from Thomas Edison State College in Trenton, New Jersey. He received his Master of Arts in Executive Leadership from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He is certified in X-Ray, Computed tomography (CT), Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), PACS (picture archiving and communication system used for storing medical imaging) and as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Bill grew up in Maine, but he has lived in the South for much of his adult life. He is a United States Army veteran, earning the Expert Field Medical Badge.
He and his wife, Angela, have two daughters, Sophie, 8, and Maddie, 5. His hobbies include hiking and reading.
