Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) is pleased to welcome Sri Laxmi Valasareddi, MD, medical oncologist, to Southeast Cancer Care.

Southeast Cancer Care is another example of SAMC’s commitment to provide comprehensive oncology services in this region. Southeast Cancer Care is part of the Southeast Alabama Medical Group (SAMG) family of primary care and specialty clinics. It is located in Suite 200 of the SAMC Doctors Building.

Dr. Valasareddi, board certified in medical oncology and hematology, comes to Southeast Cancer Care from Montgomery. She has more than 10 years of experience in hematology and medical oncology.

Dr. Valasareddi received her medical degree from JSS Medical College in India. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and a fellowship in hematology-oncology at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.

Dr. Valasareddi and her husband, Dr. Krishnamohan R. Basarakodu, have two daughters, Ananya and Amulya. When not practicing medicine, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
