Southeast Health named top performing hospital by U.S. News and World Report.

Southeast Health Medical Center is pleased to be named to U.S. News and World Report 2024-2025 Best Hospitals for high performance in stroke, heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure and pneumonia.

“Southeast Health Medical Center is honored to be recognized nationally by such a respected publication for performing at a high level,” said Rick Sutton, chief executive officer at Southeast Health. “It is a direct reflection of the outstanding team of nurses, clinical staff, physicians, advanced practice providers and support personnel we have assembled to provide quality care to our patients.”

Sutton also said recognitions such as this would not be possible without the continued support and strategic vision of the Houston County Health Care Authority.

U.S. News evaluated nearly 5,000 hospitals across 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions. Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience.

“For 35 years, U.S News has been a leading resource for patients navigating their health decisions,” said Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News. “The ‘High Performing’ designation acknowledges hospitals that consistently deliver high-quality care for specific medical procedures and conditions. This recognition highlights their expertise and commitment to patient well-being.”

This recognition is not something you can apply for, it is solely calculated by methodology established by U.S. News to rank the nation’s best hospitals. Such independent recognition shows our continued commitment to make Southeast – Southbest.
