Southeast Health nominated as one of the nation’s most beautiful hospitals.
Southeast Health is proud to announce it has been nominated as one of the nation’s most beautiful hospitals.
This marks the 12th year that Soliant has held the competition to name the “20 Most Beautiful Hospitals” in the nation. The Medical Center is one of more than 80 hospitals nationwide and one of only two in Alabama nominated for the distinction.
“The Most Beautiful Hospitals contest is all about showcasing the individuals and innovative designs that contribute to the well-being of everyone who walks in the door,” said David Alexander, Soliant CEO.
The hospital that receives the most online votes will be named the most beautiful hospital and receive a $5,000 donation its charity. The public can vote multiple times up until July 25 for Southeast Health Medical Center as the most beautiful hospital at https://www.soliant.com/most-beautiful-hospital-contest/.
“Beauty is deeper than brick and mortar,” said Jennifer Gaines, vice president of support services. “The internal beauty of the Medical Center is reflected in the people who come together to provide excellent care for patients and those who work tirelessly to create and maintain a pristine appearance and healing environment.”
Gaines is proud of the Support Services division, which includes Plant Services, In-house Construction, Environmental Services, Security, Nutrition and Food Services, and their dedication to making the Medical Center a beautiful place to work and receive care.
She said a beautiful environment plays a vital role in the healing process and helps improve the patient experience. Renovating patient care areas and common spaces has been an organizational focus for this reason.
The Houston County Health Care Authority has also played a key role in the beauty of the hospital through their commitment to continue upgrading equipment, facilities and service lines.
“During the last seven years, the board has invested more than $200 million in capital improvements to the Medical Center,” said Rick Sutton, CEO. “They are continually looking to the future strategic needs of the hospital and the healthcare needs of the community.”
He said additionally, the board has approved millions of dollars in market adjustments to ensure we continue to offer competitive salaries in the region.
This prestigious nomination is just another way we’re always working to continue making Southeast, Southbest.
