Nestled in the southeast corner of Alabama in Houston County, Dothan is about 20 miles from Georgia and Florida. Dothan has a population of about 70,000. Houston County has a population of approximately 100,000 with more than 460,000 living within a 50 mile radius of Dothan.

Dothan is a progressive city that has embraced the new South while maintaining the southern charm and values of the past. Known as the Circle City, Dothan is the hub of the Wiregrass. Dothan is about a two hour drive from Montgomery, the state’s capital, and about three hours from Birmingham or Atlanta.

Nature-lovers are drawn to the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens where a paved nature trail meanders along a peaceful pond and through beautiful gardens. Landmark Park, the Agricultural Museum of Alabama, preserves and celebrates the area’s natural and cultural heritage with several special events throughout the year.

Healthcare is the largest industry with retail and education close behind, with a growing manufacturing sector. Dothan receives hundreds of thousands of visitors every year from the northern United States passing through the city on their way to visit the Florida beaches.
